Celeb Twitter Round-Up: Tweeps React to DJ Maphorisa-Thuli Phongolo Video

Twitter/X is forever a house divided against itself, with everyone trying to turn their two cents’ worth into gold at the expense of others. Sometimes it can be hilarious, a few times it can be thought-provoking, and other times it’s pettiness at its finest.

It was no different when a recent video of DJ Maphorisa and his “alleged” girlfriend, “Generations” actress Thuli Phongolo, went viral on social media:

In the clip, the on-off couple are seen sitting on the couch with food in hand, watching as two guys (presumably their pals) dance before them.

Nothing too wild here, obviously. Of course, considering that Maphorisa has been accused of perpetrating gender-based violence (GBV) in the past – including last year, when Phongolo opened a case against him after they got into a fight – there were some tweeps who were a little concerned about how Phongolo appears in the video:

This prompted others to chip in with their own opinions, with most of them saying that she was probably tired from partying (and, they cheekily added, it’s not helped by the fact that she’s not wearing any make-up):
